Design Analysis

Agnes Lloyd Platt

I found Anges’ site through Awwwards for their sites of the day, i particularly liked her website because of how dynamic it is. Each area scrolls/interacts differently which makes it more interactive.

Mathieu Levesque

I found Mathieu’s website through Awwwards as well. I was originally attracted to his site because I knew he was Quebecois and it was interesting to see what local Quebecers are doing in photographer, in hindsight he is competition. His website is dynamic and fun to scroll too but difficult to see everything at once. Still, it was very interesting and fun to explore.

Sara Marandi

Sara’s website at first looked quite boring/mundane/static but as you scrolled over the large type on the first page, you encounter glitchy images that change as you move over different parts of the phrases/names. I like how much movement there is and lets you play with her site. I however do not like the use of font in her description since it is so busy and hard to read.

All the logos/names are to the top left, I find it is a clean design and a common practice. Most people go to the top left or the middle to see the logo/name.

In my own website i would like to incorporate elements of the dynamic movement and sideways scrolling, especially to highlight photos in landscape.
